Graduated with a BA in Industrial Design from
the National University of Singapore (NUS)
with a specialisation in Product Innovation,
Bryce explores the expressive potential
of materials and fabrication processes,
whether contemporary or traditional, digital
or handcrafted. His work is tuned precisely
within a narrow margin between the familiar
and the unsettling — where recognition draws
one in, and subtle deviation holds the gaze.
Materials are approached without allegiance
to their usual roles, yet not entirely removed
from them, allowing new qualities to emerge
while honoring their sense of origin. Within
this restraint, each piece is less an inert object
than a character with its own disposition. One
that invites us to engage in a conversation
about its behaviour, presence, and value,
unsettling what we think we recognise.
